Christmas 2008

Jacob, Angie and Makayla come to our house for Christmas. We had a fun time opening presents on Christmas morning with Makayla.

Grandma and Grandpa gave Makayla a princess ride-on toy. She enjoys riding on it and listening to the different songs it plays. It also has 3 different honks.

Here is Makayla and Mom looking at what Santa brought Makayla in her stocking.

This is Makayla with Mom and Dad the Sunday after Christmas. What a cute little family!

October-Conference Trip to SLC

Here is Makayla in her new duckie Pajama's. When we saw them
in the store they "screamed "Makayla.

Here she is with Mom modeling her new winter hat.

Doesn't it look soft and warm.

Here is Makayla with Aunt Melissa.
Here is the whole gang! Including the newly engaged Ryan and Talie,
who will be married in the Newport Beach Temple on Jan. 2nd.
We are excited to have Talie in the family.
We love her and she fits right in.

Which picture is the best? What do you think.

OUR TRIP TO ST. THOMAS

Magen Bay, an incredibly beautiful beach.
Melissa and Phil on Magen's Bay Beach.
Angie and Debi at the Mountain Top view point over looking Magen's Bay.
Tom and Debi on the dinner cruise that the kids secretly arranged for us to go on for our 30th anniversary. Thanks, kids for being so sweet and thoughtful.

Tom, my honey at the point on Sapphire Beach. Isn't he the cuttest thing you have ever seen.
Happy 30th Anniversary, sweet heart. I love you.
Here we are on the boat.
Debi and Melissa on the boat leaving for B.V.I.
This is one of the caves at Norman Island.
Most of the the gang over looking the town of Charlotte Amalie and the harbor. The person taking the picture, another willing tourist, cut off Jacob and Angie. (Darn it!)
Tom and I over looking Megen's Bay.
Here we are arriving in St. Thomas. We are all excited and ready to hit the beach for a week.
One day we took the car ferry over the the nearby island, St. John. This is Tom and Melissa over looking Caneel Bay.
This is Trunk Bay. The water is so clear and the sand is so white. Trunk Bay is always listed among the best beaches in the world.
This is the gang at another beach on St John. It think this is Cinnamon Bay.
We chartered a boat to the British Virgin Islands one day. We went to Virgin Gorda and climbed through the Baths, which is world famous caves made by gaint granite boulders. (very cool) We stopped in Tortola. (Another British Virgin Island) On the way back from the Baths we snorkled in the three caves at Norman Island. We saw many beautiful fish and the water was so clear, especially in the caves. It was an amazing experience. We also snorkled 2 other places on the way back to St. Thomas. The day was incredible.

Tom's New Chainsaw and the Palmtree

That's right, Tom is cutting down things again. The palm tree has to go because it is getting too big around and breaking out the planter wall around the pool.

Tom newest toy, an electric chainsaw. You wanna bet on how many weeks it will take before every tree and bush is our yard is cut down?

Here Tom is making the biggest cut. The rope is being held by Adam on the other side of the wall so that the cut portion will fall over the wall and on the street and hopefully not on Adam.

Oh Yeah, it worked! Tom and Adam are cutting the tree into small pieces to carry them back to the house. Actually, we put them in the back of the Subaru and drove them around the corner.

Sorry, I didn't get a picture of that.

Tom and His New Trimmer

Yesterday, Saturday April 26, Tom got the trimming bug. Which actually he gets pretty often especially since he bought the new trimmer a few weeks ago. I was not too thrilled to have him standing on the back wall to trim. I really was not in the mood to rush him to the emergency room if he fell. Most of the time I was inside the house praying he would not fall. But I did gather enough courage to snap a few pictures.

Here is Tom's favorite new toy.
